Just a Ride 12th September 2019

Wet and windy on the top of Cheshire

Nine set off from the Cenotaph at 18:30 on a warm and pleasant evening, headed for the toughest climbs we can fit inside twenty something miles.

Crossing the newly surfaced Silk Bridge into
Bollington, and up the closed - to-traffic Igersley Road to tackle Blaze Hill.

Regrouping at the top we pushed on up Pike Road, Jenkin Chapel and Pym Chair. On the top we hit the wind and rain, making the rest of the ride rather wet. It still stayed fairly warm, so it was still great to be out up the Goyt in the evening dusk.

Coming down the Cat was quite tough, with floods, strong crosswinds and sideways rain!

A short climb into the forest and then a rather caution descent to Macc where some of us enjoyed a pleasant if rather soggy beer at the pub, joining our comrades from the 10-2-7.
