Three months of easy riding

My last ride report was three months ago, so this is a catch-up on what we have been up to since the Circuit of the Edge.

We have enjoyed 13 Sunday easy rides, alternating between Macclesfield and Wilmslow start points, 7 Thursday pop-up rides and 1 Tuesday pop-up ride. We have ridden over 500 miles, visited 18 different cafes and 2 village halls, chatted a lot and had a lot of fun. Turn out is variable, Thursdays usually average around 5, and Sundays can be anything from 7 to 27! We have welcomed several new club members, including Brian and Andy H, and celebrated the return of Alicia. A number of the regulars have helped John and I with leading and acting as the back sweeper, so many thanks to Jim, Griff, Sue, Phil, Rachel and Snowy, and apologies to anyone I have overlooked.

Some of us also had a week away in Majorca, with some easy rides, but also some very challenging rides. There were loads of great photos, too many to fit in one news story, but I have included some of my favourite ones.

If you would like to join future rides please just keep an eye on the calendar, everyone is welcome. We split into different speed groups on Sundays if there are a lot out, and do not leave anyone, unless they ask us to!! There will be a pop-up ride from Wilmslow this Thursday, as the forecast looks good, and this Sunday’s ride starts from Macclesfield. On Sunday 4th June we will be leading our ever popular Chester ride, with a choice of start points and distances.
