Easier Training Ride @ 10-2-7 on 15th August

We had another record turnout and a good steady chain gang.

It was quite breezy but hardly noticeable at all sat in such a big group as we headed westwards towards the A50. Progress was interrupted twice on Twemlow Ln. We were just building up some speed again after a puncture stop, when round a bend the road was badly flooded on both sides and normally we could have moved out to the middle but Wills Wheels chain gang was heading towards us and was just starting exactly the same move. Its a credit to everyone for keeping their line and thanks to good riding another Twemlow lane indecent was avoided.

Whilst some of our regular stronger riders opted for the faster chain gang and had a good ride this week we had three new riders stepping in: Gareth, Alison and Dave, not necessarily new to cycling or to chain gangs, all rode well and we hope to see them all again.

Johnny H was first over the line at the Wizard🥇. Eddie, Fozzy, Daisy and Elliot were all up there but they were all to modest to claim silver or bronze, but its confirmed that Daisy was first Female🥇 and Fred first supavet🥇. Jonhny says he’s transferring to the fast chain gang so who’s going to fill the vacancy in the KOM spot?

I think the headcount was nineteen or twenty again and that’s a lot of names to make a note of but everyone can be spotted in the pic’s and video.
