Sat 1pm Club Run - Andertons Boat Lift

7 of us rode out on the flat ride to Northwich in reasonable weather conditions.

Unlike the Peak District we did not face 40mph headwinds on the Cheshire Plain. Although it was windy we were able to make pretty good progress with a short puncture stop on the outskirts of Knutsford. We arrived at the cafe in good time before heading back with a tail wind. On leaving the cafe we donned our waterproofs due the the due the heavy drizzle, which did not last too long.

Unfortunately the Garmin seemed to have problems finding our correct route and we made a short detour before turning round to head the right way. Our ride back to Macclesfield was assisted by a good tail wind and we were back in good time. We covered 51 miles at an average speed of 14mph and had an enjoyable ride. Hopefully we can have a hilly ride next weather assuming good riding conditions.
