There will be some nice easy freewheeling on this saturdays club run.

Namely in the downhill without pedal pushing competition for the Geoff Stevenson Trophy.

It will be held on the traditional course starting at the top of Newstone Bridge Road at the junction of Hazel Barrow Lane and Hazelwood Road between Royal Cottage and Gradbach, . The first rider off will be when we get there, probably but not definitely about 2pm. That will be after a cafe stop hopefully at Roaches Tea Room but yet to be confirmed as they are not answering the phone so it could be Titteswoth Water Cafe. Whichever the route will be virtually the same.

This is an event that anyone with a roadworthy bike can do and it’s free to enter. There are easier and more direct ways to get to the cafe or the start line so make your own way up there if you can’t do the full ride but there's no avoiding a bit climbing to be able to freewheel down.
