Q. Tell us about your favorite local ride or climb and why?
“Done on an early summer’s evening you can’t beat Long Hill, The Goyt, Wildboarclough, Gradbach, Flash, Axe Edge. A serene landscape that reminds you why you ride a bike”.
We’ll be doing Marcus’s ride in the day rather than the evening but it’s still lovely.
The cafe stop will be at Flash Bar Stores which is 30 miles in so it will be a late lunch.
Depending on turnout we can split into manageable groups at the start.
If you don’t fancy the full 4k feet of climbing you can always make your own way up to Flash taking in some of the highlights mentioned by Marcus.

Meet up at South Park car park just before 10.30;
Bring a spare tube etc
Take front and back lights if visibility is poor.
