Pop Up extra ride around the Peak District. Possibly the toughest ride of the year.
100 miles, 10,000 feet elevation. We’ll call it “Wild Derbyshire”
Start at 8am at South park, don’t expect to be home before 6pm
We’ll have stops at Wetton , Bakewell and Edale.
It won’t be a race and we all ride together. It will be a tough challenge, please make sure you have a bail out plan if needed; options could be to continue on the Monsal trail out of Bakwell and home via Buxton, or to catch the train from Edale. Trains runs every hour, changing at Manchester Piccadilly.
The route is all on tarmac, no public footpaths, no nettles, no farmtracks. A couple of sections on the Tissington and Manifold trails but they are well surfaced. There are a couple of fords to cross, but footbridges are nearby..
