Easy riding through Christmas

There have been two easy rides over the Christmas period.

The first, on Christmas Eve, was a little damp, with 7 riders heading out to Shipbrook, near Davenham. John, Jim and Troy set off from Wilmslow, whilst Phil, Simon Ga, Rachel and Michelle rode out from Macclesfield.

Boxing Day was better weather, with 13 of us making the most of it. 7 rode to Tatton Park from Macclesfield via Knutsford following one of John's routes. Unfortunately Simon Gr came off in a rather large puddle which was hiding some dangerous terrain. Kev captured it on his headcam, and everyone rallied around to disentangle Simon from his bike. The bike is ok but Simon's knee will take longer to recover.

The ride was less eventful for the 6 of us who set off from Wilmslow. I led John B and Kirsten on the shortest route possible to the Rostherne entrance, whilst John led Griff and Martin on the publicised route.

After bacon rolls, scones etc, 7 of us headed back via Alderley/ Wilmslow, with most stopping at Costa. The remainder rode back to Macclesfield with some ending up in a pub.
